JP:

Pop quiz.

JR:

Have fun.

JP:

All right.

Ash:

Crushed it.

JP:

January. Jumps down. Jumps out there in the lead.

JR:

Homework.

JP:

what about, what about Ashley? Ashley, you did your homework or you know you got one.

Ash:

Be yourself.

JP:

Be yourself. Be yourself. Natalie. Natalie. I, I, I have the questions. Natalie, what? Come on. Bring up the rear. The caboose. The caboose is loose. What do you got?

Nat:

It sounds like you're yucking my young

JP:

Oh.

Ash:

Oh,

JP:

good

Nat:

not allowing me to

JP:

Love that for you. All right. Are we we ready to get dank?

Ash:

Let's could Dan.

Nat:

it.

Nancy:

Welcome to the DANK Pod! Join us on our chaotic adventure of what it means to be Disney Adults. Like, follow, comment, and share wherever you listen. Send any questions or feedback to us at the dank pod at gmail.com This week we're voting on which holiday is the best for visiting the parks! Let's get DANK!

JP:

All right. What, what are we talking about today?

Ash:

holidays?

JP:

Well, that was chipper,

Ash:

He's been upset, at my chippers all day. You

JP:

She's been over the top chipper. You know what it's like, it's like somebody who's just a fun drunk and you're just, and you're not drunk.

Nat:

Is it? Is it like, could it be like when you're trying to concentrate at work and somebody's like jamming out like at just fills the joy?

JP:

N no, not at all.

Nat:

I

JR:

mean, if you had to deal

JP:

you yucking? My yum.

Nat:

No. It sounds like you're yucking your wife's happiness.

Ash:

It is. been a rough day. over here,

Nat:

Oh my gosh. When I'm So, you know what, babe? Thanks for not killing my joy.

JR:

I think her name Moon is coming.

Ash:

No, not until July.

Nat:

she already checked.

Ash:

I've been waiting. Attitudes and moods have been weird for like. two weeks. I've been trying to figure out what's going on

JR:

days,

Ash:

Oh, I guess that's fair. No, but I thought it was like July 10th when I but maybe That was the full moon and not

Nat:

know,

JP:

The full moon July 11th.

JR:

It says New Moon was June 25th 5:31 AM

JP:

yeah, that's in,

Nat:

not, not the time.

JP:

yeah, but it's not a full

Ash:

so that's last night or

JR:

said New Moon, not fool.

JP:

But a full moon would mean that the, the moon is

JR:

Moon brings energy as well.

JP:

Yeah, we're talking about science here, not

JR:

Wow. believe in the magic.

JP:

And the magic. The magic

JR:

Yeah,

JP:

The magic of Disney. The science. So there's, there's some science to be had, like people act differently around a full moon because of like the gravitational force or the gravitational pull. Just like tides, right? The fluids in your body. Chemicals, yeah. Can be impacted in that way. There's some science behind that, but the energy of a new moon. Hmm, interesting. Tell me about your, tell me about your pegan philosophies.

Nat:

You know, I

JR:

actually can have you subscribe to a Substack. she's pretty. She's pretty

JP:

Yeah. Feel free to share that. That is it. That substack with us. I'll be happy to Yeah. No, I'm

Ash:

I thought you were gonna say ignore.

Nat:

It sounds like he's yucking your young, by the way.

JP:

No, no. I like, this is like, I'm not gonna lie.

JR:

Actually, I'll send it to you. It's a good

Ash:

Thank you.

JP:

I'm not gonna lie. I get into some stuff, like I'll go, I'll go down the rabbit hole, but you, you're gonna tick that neurodivergent box of mine you know what I discovered this week, Natalie? Time, travel time, travel to the past. Not possible

Ash:

Only to the future,

JP:

On to the future. We're doing it right now. Look, but to,

JR:

yeah, I've always felt like pictures are time travel books are time travel.

JP:

it's an interesting way to emote with the cosmos.

JR:

movies.

Nat:

The

JP:

I love that.

JR:

like I think that's, you know, I feel like we think time travel is like, oh, our person the past,

Ash:

That's

JP:

Very emotional. Wait to wait to wait to make our audience Somebody get him a right. Oh, BTTF

JR:

You know what? I'm really the teleporter.

Nat:

Nah, I discover some problems with Teleporter. I'm not sure how that's gonna work. Why? Something about the soul. I'm not sure if you can teleport the soul.

JR:

What

Nat:

the fuck? It might just be like a

JR:

I Don't the teleporter

Nat:

All right? I'm saying that we might be able to do objects, but.

JP:

So I think you could do it. We are way off track already. to resurrect this, sorry. To

JR:

the New Moon energy.

JP:

right. Our, the new Moon energy so we're here to talk about holidays specifically. What about the holidays?

JR:

the best What's your, your

Nat:

favorite holiday

Ash:

I know Jonathan's least favorite holiday.

JR:

Oh. What's your least favorite

Nat:

for Disney.

JP:

well for theme parks in general,

Nat:

Oh, wow. But what about Mickey? Spooky, that's safe.

JP:

I love that you're already there.

Ash:

She knows.

JP:

Yeah. For any, any guesses? I'm not a fan of Halloween. I, I dislike Halloween immensely. Despise

Ash:

the board. He doesn't even like the candy. you guys.

JP:

Nope. I don't want anything to do with

JR:

a favorite candy at

JP:

and No.

Ash:

Oh, he has a favorite candy.

JP:

It's an Easter candy.

JR:

And which Easter candy? You're still

Nat:

praying?

JP:

Starburst jelly beans.

JR:

know they really got the market when they came out because Do you remember the jelly beans before Starburst?

JP:

Oh, they were like dirt

JR:

it's like you always got them, but you never wanted them.

JP:

right? It was like chewing on slightly. It was, you know what it was? It's between candy, corn and and black licorice on the scale of candies. Right.

JR:

don't put candy corn down Oh,

JP:

There,

Nat:

the audacity. How dare you?

JR:

You need to upgrade your Candy corn corn pumpkins.

Nat:

I

JP:

We're off track. Again, it's my fault this time.

Ash:

Look at that

JP:

mm-hmm. Holidays. Okay, so holidays.

Nat:

Finally. Okay. First,

JP:

What are the, go ahead. No, I was gonna ask what the holidays are.

Nat:

Dang. It's

JR:

Holidays are often rooted in cultural and religious traditions.

Nat:

Oh, shit, babe was

JP:

She's just like, it's almost like she Googled that I,

JR:

usually it emphasizes gatherings.

JP:

okay. All right. So with that in mind, what are the holidays that set off at theme parks at Universal, at Disney, at SeaWorld? So world,

JR:

mean, they have all the

JP:

what are those? That's the way to start it off. Do they, do all parks have New Year's Eve celebrations?

Nat:

Ooh, know about it. That's a good que Well, animal kingdom won't because of the animals, but we can Google it to find out.

JP:

Yeah, Epcot does. Right. You said that Epcot is one hope, that you hope to reach. Attend is the word I

JR:

They bring in stages and they have

Nat:

Yeah. It's like a rave

JP:

okay.

Nat:

Disney, a Disney rave,

JP:

Does, does the Magic Kingdom do anything?

Nat:

it's not a rave. I'm just kidding. great question. January.

JP:

ever after Kiss at midnight

Nat:

that's

JP:

Also like Hollywood Studios would be an interesting, I think it Hollywood Studios in Epcot draw the most mature crowds.

Nat:

right, because you know,

JP:

Put alcohol in your crystal light there.

Nat:

I mean, you yeah. Yeah, yeah.'cause they also have good rides. Don't be such an alcoholic. What's wrong with you?

JP:

So is is is New Year? So New Year's Eve is the last holiday of the So what's then, what's the first holiday of our year and then does New Year's Eve. So by. Definition just of, of the gather, gathering in the spirited environment. New Year's Eve qualifies, but the legal definition,

Nat:

It's crazy. It's like we don't get paid for both. You only get paid for the

JP:

you only get paid. You get paid for the hangover.

Nat:

Oh man.

JP:

All right. So in, on a scale of one to 10 where, what do you, how are you ranking New Year's Eve? Let's call, let's rope'em together. New Year's Eve slash New Year's Day Celebrations at theme

Ash:

Personal ranking.

JP:

Yeah.

Nat:

I mean, for the personal ranking.

JP:

Here are the rules to ranking. Rules are there are no rules.

Nat:

You gonna tell us the rules? 20 minutes in. This is crazy.

JP:

exactly I wanted to see if you would fail

Ash:

welcome.

JP:

Rules are, there are no rules. You can use any ranking system you wish to use any point system, any, any value or, or triggers that you choose for it. It should be personal, so it's how you see it yourself. And I don't care if you've been there or haven't been there. We have all been around the sun at least once and how, and of said holidays, so you can go from there. Nellie, what's your ranking of the Natalie looks like she put something in her mouth that she is not sure about swallowing. She's, she's choking it down. She's got a hand

Nat:

K has spit on my, on my pictures, guys. Don't be

JP:

So Natalie's doing her extracurricular photo cataloging. But they're Disney photos, so they're on

JR:

Yeah,

Nat:

except there's a K in there. But sh

JP:

oh,

Nat:

he's cool. He's

Ash:

No questions

Nat:

question is that. Okay. So I would say again, without having to experience in my mind, it's definitely epca I'd, I'd rank it a strong 72 especially because like, you don't get to like party once you get to party at each of like their time zones.

Ash:

Ooh,

JP:

Are you serious? Is it, is there time zones? So they do

Ash:

peaked.

JP:

the, they do the countdown eight hours earlier in England than they do in the us.

Nat:

Is there, oh, there. You know what? Maybe not every country has it. I told you I haven't experienced it. Where's January?

JP:

country has the, has a new year.

Nat:

No, I don't think I understood I, I don't, think I don't, I don't think Disney does every let, let's see. Maybe they just select the top raver worlds. I don't know which one is which, which how it works. We're just gonna have to go this year. no I hope they have it next year and we're gonna have to explore and figure it out.

JP:

we're gonna skip by January for the moment because she's having an adventure somewhere. Ashley.

Nat:

She's probably talking to us

JP:

Ashley, what's your what's your ranking

Ash:

I'm just so tired. Like New Year's does not appeal to I, I think it's like three Mickey sorcerer hats.

JP:

okay. It's acceptable.

Nat:

What? Her hats are powerful,

Ash:

that's what I'm saying. Like I think it's impactful. for the people who go and the fireworks are probably really cool. And like you said, if they have like different celebration time zones, that's very interesting. But I'm more of a one and done kind of gal.

JP:

Okay. I'm going to.

Nat:

our friends will go so hard that I've had literally a friend come out and say, happy New Year's, like three times and like, not, not for funsies. thought. I'm like, it's already happened. We've already done this

JP:

That's, she's, yeah, she's had the crystal light.

Nat:

For sure.

JP:

yeah. I'm gonna give it a, I'm gonna give it a 10:00 PM and 68 degrees, and that's my back, just in time to give us their their New Year's Eve at the parks ranking is January. January. You're on a hot mic.

JR:

10 outta 10,

JP:

We waited. Hold on. We waited that long. She jumped on. She said 10 outta 10 bitches. We're moving on.

Nat:

Drop forward.

JR:

Five Mickey

JP:

Nice. That is 10 too.'cause Mickey has two ears.

JR:

They, they change up the park from how you enjoy it. They have some added events

JP:

January. Likes to rock out. What's our next holiday to celebrate?

Nat:

After there, if I'm not mistaken, the one, the next one they go to at least, when I say they, I don't mean Disney. I was thinking like the crowds by the way.

Ash:

That's fair.

Nat:

'Cause it does some, a lot of times get busier on Easter also due to spring break.

JP:

Oh, so we're saying, are we saying Easter Spring break,

Nat:

No, I'm saying like Easter's definitely not it gets packed. There's actually like no real recognition or celebration of it that I can think of. I could be wrong,

Ash:

I mean, I feel like it's more, like Mardi Gras.

JP:

yeah. Mardi Gras is, is let's say spring holidays, which will be spring break, Easter, Mardi Gras. Let's lump them together, including St. How do we feel about that, that chunk of of March through beginning of

Nat:

Doesn't feel very holiday,

Ash:

did you rate New

JP:

Yeah. Yeah. I gave it a, I gave it a 10:00 PM and 68 degrees.

Ash:

that's why I blocked it out.

JP:

Yeah, the six, the, the six or so weeks, six or six to eight weeks from end of March to mid, excuse me, middle of May encompassing St. Patty's Day, Easter, spring break, Mardi Gras, all that

JR:

How are we feeling about those? I mean, I like them because the Disney weather, I'm sorry, Florida weather.

Nat:

Yes.

JP:

Disney does control the weather inside the bubble. For those who don't know, there's a big weather machine. Walt sets it up, set it up. It's what's actually inside of,

JR:

Imagine if they had a bubble and it

Nat:

Except I kind of like when it rains because it, it really weeds out the weak ones

Ash:

MM.

Nat:

and then we're like, ah, clear for, for, us.

JP:

you You, got it. We know where We know where Natalie, you are wearing a Mardi Gras inspired shirt.

Nat:

No, it looks Mardi Gras and inspired. It was more like. Green velvet gravy inspired, and then it just so happened to me, Mardi Gras,'cause they copied my colors, but

JP:

Mardi. The whole holiday movement copied your colors. Okay, cool. How would you rate that time of year at the parks?

Nat:

Crowded. So for crowds strong, and a half per weather. I'll give it a strong seven. I like

JP:

Are you grouping'em together or going separate with them? Are they two separate ratings? Okay. I, I wasn't sure. I

Ash:

Is there an enjoyment rating, like a

Nat:

If I, high capacity, good weather, 3.5, low capacity, good weather, we

Ash:

Ooh,

JR:

Yeah,

Ash:

it's very

JR:

so funny the like the behind

JP:

January. Do you have a, do you have a ranking for this one

JR:

I definitely like this one especially'cause we're coming out of like weather,

JP:

and to give context, cold weather starts as what degree at that time? What's the average temp, cold temp in January, February.

JR:

cold do we get? Like

JP:

There are people who may be listening to this in other parts of the world who are like, that's summertime.

JR:

not cold.

JP:

That's why I'm

JR:

negative five.

JP:

It for, for reference, if the temperature drops below 70, the Uggs come out in

Nat:

The what comes out? uhs

JP:

people with puffy jackets, Uggs, and like chunky sweaters.

JR:

I always think it's really Florida wear

Nat:

That's

JP:

It's usually,

JR:

It's like, I know they're, there're for snow and

JP:

they

JR:

out of

JP:

until like 10:00 AM and then they, they serve no purpose'cause it's

JR:

that's the thing. the morning. You're not gonna wear any of your jackets but when nighttime rolls

JP:

Did we get your ranking though?

JR:

Mind

JP:

Okay. Okay. Very good. Very good. Ash.

Ash:

I'm going to give it 22 hot air balloons.

JP:

Okay. Any justification

Ash:

Yeah.'cause I feel like I got a 50 50 shot of not burning to all hell outside during that timeframe. There's always two like, so the best part about. A, a season or a holiday for me is merch. I want to look at things, right? I wanna see new things and maybe spend my money. So, it gets a higher ranking for that. And then the weather, like, man, it's not quite rainy season, perhaps in that timeframe, but it might be overcast. And I will take 85 and overcast over 75 and sunny all day as a person who burns and sweats very badly.

Nat:

I'll take that. I, I, I support it. I, I co-sign

JP:

I'm gonna give, I'm gonna give the park, we, the park atmosphere, overall weather, feeling sense, everything going on. I'm gonna give that a dozen beignets

JR:

I like it.

JP:

and for themed experiences when you give it one Publix King cake.

Ash:

Pancake.

JP:

King cake. King cake.

Ash:

the baby cake

JP:

And then for, for

JR:

cake's pretty

JP:

my overall excitement. I'm gonna give it three Catholic priests with a handful of

JR:

Are they

JP:

The little, little like a pop dome.

Ash:

They're wearing a, a White Sox hat.

JP:

No, they're just,

Ash:

I'm just killing it tonight, man.

Nat:

I love it.

JP:

that's right. Lowercase tees on your forehead for everyone.

JR:

Wow.

JP:

just like that. All right. What's our next, what's our next holiday?

Nat:

St. Patrick. Oh No,

JP:

that's all in there. Yeah. Natalie is, we've broke. Natalie Natalie's glitching.

Nat:

The thing is that it's like, are we're going all holidays?'cause I guess technically the next one is Memorial Day.

JP:

Yeah, but there's not really anything from Memorial Day at the parks. Right? There's, there's, there's a flag raising a flag ceremony, an extra special flag ceremony at Disney, isn't there? Or

Ash:

Didn't you include most of May in the last chunk

JP:

Yeah. Most of May, but we can say, we can call Memorial Day. Fourth July. That's that, ma'am. That's in the previous

Ash:

we didn't acknowledge

JR:

mother's Day, Memorial

Ash:

Disney does. pay attention to like the small holidays in small ways. Like there were Mother's Day shirts, or At least like mother. acknowledgement shirts, Right. Like,

JP:

So let's let's,

Nat:

they know the mothers by the merch.

Ash:

yeah.

JP:

Let's, let's, let's rank White Space Holidays and White Space Holidays being mother's Day, father's Day grandparents' Day. What other like non-major religion holidays are there that fit into those white spaces?

Ash:

does the 4th of July count?

Nat:

about Passover

JP:

Passovers with

Ash:

It's jumbled up in there,

Nat:

Palm Sunday?

JP:

ma'am, somebody

Nat:

altogether. I just wanted to see what he

JP:

somebody wrote, somebody rope her in there before she shouts out. Good Friday,

Nat:

I was literally gonna say Good Friday.

JP:

my,

Nat:

Earth Day.

JP:

birthday. Yeah. Okay. That's fine. Birthday's our white space

Ash:

No,

Nat:

No, Earth

Ash:

Day. Oh, earth Day. Sorry. That's a real thing at, Animal

JP:

yeah. Okay, cool. Earth Day White space. How do we feel about White Space Holidays? What are we ranking them like the B level B, B tier holidays in terms of like, not everybody gets a gift, but moms get one.

Ash:

two cheeseburgers.

JR:

neutral on neutral,

JP:

What does that

JR:

One Elsa's, one Elsa Icicle.

Ash:

Nice for stabs.

JP:

Someone does not like their mother. What is happening?

JR:

No, I'm trying to go neutral, but like, you can't give a zero as a neutral can, Is

JP:

no rules. There's no rules.

Ash:

no Rules

JP:

Rules are, there are no rules. You don't wanna, you don't wanna give.

JR:

What is a neutral number?

Ash:

Four

JP:

Zero. Zero is zero is the zero is a

JR:

I don't think zero is neutral

JP:

zero is at the crux. So if you can have, if, if, if you can have positive numbers that go off into infinity, you can have negative numbers that go off into infinity and that cross point, that crux is zero. So neither positive nor a, space of

Nat:

I'm very neutral.

JP:

All right, so you're in, if so, the, okay, you're the, you are the drive the drive stick indicator thingy in a car or the shifter can't

Nat:

The

JP:

you in, in the gear shifter of, of rankings you're going with. Gotcha. Natalie, where you at? Put this shit in gear. Natalie, tell us where you I, I was just, I'm gonna like, let me just comment about your face can understand. Natalie's looking up, like she's deciding on whether or not to perform a hit on another mob, a rival mobster. She's, she's got a, she's like, I don't know, maybe. Where you at, Natalie? What's the, what's the ranking? How many cannolis,

Nat:

Uh uh, one, one cannoli. Like they, they're like, no, let's go to the next holiday. What, what? What's the next

JP:

oh, she's ready to move on. She's looking at the future. Ashley gave it what? You gave it.

Ash:

Two cheeseburgers.

JP:

Two cheeseburgers. All right, so

Nat:

cheeseburgers.

Ash:

cheeseburger, cheeseburger,

Nat:

Make'em hamburgers. Make'em Hamburgers.

JP:

Oh, she's not let her have cheese.

Nat:

don't even deserve the

Ash:

They don't even, deserve the cheese. oh,

JP:

man. All right. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna disagree. Go, go figure, right? So I'm gonna say, Hmm. I'm gonna give this 17 guilt trips

Nat:

Guilt

JP:

and, one martyr

Nat:

What kind of guilt trips? Is it like Catholic guilt trips or like Jewish guilt trips?

JP:

Catholic guilt trips. Why don't you call me anymore? Huh? You don't call me anymore. Hmm. Yeah. So you So you, don't let, you don't let, you don't have time for your mother no more. You have time for your

JR:

Two-way street. mother.

JP:

Oh, oh,

Nat:

is true

JP:

oh, okay. All right. Yeah. So we're going

Nat:

cutthroat

JP:

Are we, are we lumping together our summer holidays, our 4th of July, our flag day, Labor Day. AP

Nat:

You know, some parents will tell their kids they're going. To the party. I'm

JR:

sorry. Flag Day

JP:

Yeah. Flag day's in there.

JR:

Father's Day.

JP:

Father's Day. It's a, that's a white space Juneteenth has celebrations. Yeah. Gay day.

Nat:

the gay. Oh, okay. We have to rank the gays.

JP:

Yeah. Everybody. Well, I, that's

Nat:

You're welcome.

JP:

perfection. That's your ranking.

Nat:

Yep.

JP:

All right. Cool beans. Cool beans. January you got a G day ranking.

JR:

still neutral.

Nat:

Shit.

JP:

Okay. All right.

JR:

one all Ola

Ash:

don't yuck her Yum.

JP:

That's Mike.

Ash:

Did she say why? No. Off

JP:

where, where, you at, Ashley, with this one.

Ash:

That is a solid 77 Josh Gads.

JP:

you bringing up Josh? God,

Ash:

Gads? Just to piss you off. Also, we talked about. Olaf,

JP:

Mm,

JR:

I inception her.

JP:

I'm gonna go with two snaps and a sachet.

Nat:

what's a session? I'm glad. Oh wow. It's a dance move. It's a ballet move. I

JP:

sashay, Shante. I went to high school with them. Natalie got her confused. Look

JR:

dance classes? Jonathan,

JP:

No, I always wanted to though. God, I wanted not ballet. I wanted to take jazz.

Nat:

You want to take jazz

JP:

I wanted to take jazz. They always had shiny pants. I like shiny

Nat:

fingers and

JR:

Spirit fingers is technically cheerleading.

Nat:

I don't know what I was

JP:

Yeah. We're sorry. We're so sorry. We didn't mean to Where does tap rank?'cause I would love to have made noises

JR:

Tap is

JP:

Yeah, I could do that too. Yeah, I know. We're way off. We're way off now again. All right, so I think we're into the fall season now.

Nat:

Ooh, the faves. So the weather starts changing and also food and wine comes back. So a lot of things, a lot of good things are happening

JP:

yeah. I like that. You skipped all the other, you were like flower and garden. We don't care. No, we got it

Nat:

I mean, they, they, okay, they're gonna do fireworks. Guess who does fireworks every day?

JP:

She's so indifferent right Now let's get to the, let's get to the money shot here. The meat and potatoes, the fall holidays. Are we lumping them all together? Are we splitting them up? Are we

Ash:

split them bitches up.

JP:

Okay. What, what's our first fall holiday? Jan. January. Do Labor Day, you celebrating Labor Day.

Nat:

yeah.

JR:

How many Get the day off?

JP:

What kind of gift are you getting me for Labor Day?

JR:

Zero labor.

JP:

I appreciate that.

Ash:

Fun fact, I've started a honey do list for him because he's been slacking on the normal chores. I'm saving it for labor.

JP:

See how I just muted her there? She can't do anything. She can't. We got rid of her real quick.

Nat:

Unbelievable. How many things

JR:

are on the honey do list? I wanna know.

Nat:

Wow, you're muted. Just text the chat.

JR:

Show me on your hands. Give me

JP:

Okay. Take those. Blink twice if you're okay.

Nat:

seven. Question

JR:

seven.

Nat:

You guys are gonna have to start like a Trello or a OneNote so he can six. You know, why don't you, why don't you start a Trello? You should have a honey do Trello. Oh

Ash:

Maybe if I made.

JP:

All right. So what's our next, what's our next holiday to go

Nat:

Excel sheet.

JR:

Yeah. Project management Excel

JP:

next holiday?

Ash:

It's Halloween bitches.

Nat:

Halloween. So I like Halloween. I like, I like this'cause I feel like this is the transition back into the holidays. So I give a strong eight a nine. Like Yeah. You know what? Yeah, I, the weather starts to change. Still hot.'cause it's Florida, but it's less hot.

Ash:

And typically, like not terribly crowded, right? Like right around Halloween it gets bad, but like the month or so leading up to it, month or two

JP:

so what, what, what was your overall ranking? You said 17. Oh.

Nat:

I'd give an I'd give an eight because it also has points taken away because they close early for not so And as an annual pass holder, you know what, now that I'm saying it out loud, I'm gonna have to give it a 7.5 because as an annual pass holder, I don't even get a Two, this ticketed event, you know, finishing that, I'm gonna drop it down to seven. It's at a seven

Ash:

It's a Seven.

JP:

Keeps getting lower. Drop it like it's hot. You know what your rating is? Like the tower of terror.'cause you never know when it's gonna

JR:

Oh, I like that.

JP:

tick. It's a TikTok trend where they're like, I, my, I dance like the tower of terror.'cause you never know where I'm going. Drop it.

JR:

You're really on a roll with the dad jokes, but Ashley's killing it

JP:

that's not my joke though. That's it.

Nat:

Oh dang. Did you? Oh my gosh. He his, did you see his chest puff up? He, his chest puffed up like challenged, accepted. You know what though? Accepted what?

JR:

I will say, Jonathan, great wife because

Ash:

10 outta 10.

JR:

jokes are on par or don't even wanna say it even better.

Nat:

It's a scary, like, I love,

JR:

love. He was like lucky and I

Nat:

so scared. I love when you try to help yourself and you just dig yourself in a deeper like, I

JP:

a damn thing. I haven't said anything. I can't dig myself out and I can't make it any worse. I'm just not saying

JR:

like, who just never had a sense of humor or like didn't crack good jokes?

JP:

And she sat quietly and that what you're asking me?

JR:

feel, I feel like you guys like shine together,

JP:

Look at you trying to dig yourself outta that hole. Look at you.

JR:

of light, two beams

JP:

2, 2, 2 light SAS merging together.

JR:

yes.

JP:

already ranked gay day. Don't worry about our swords. Natalie's holding. Let it out. Natalie, we haven't been canceled yet.

Nat:

Too

JP:

Janu, January. Where, where are we at? What's your ranking?

JR:

Hy The fall for Halloween. You know what, I'm having different feelings about Halloween as an adult

Ash:

Are they positive or negative?

JR:

Well, I feel like after like trick or like you're like, oh, It falls out of favor

Nat:

for, for Okay. Are you, are you talking in general or are you saying that it fell outta favor for

JR:

Well see. I feel like when you're a kid, it's all about the candy, right? about dressing you

Nat:

like candy, corn, that's a Halloween okay.

JR:

But as a teenager, like do you really care about the

Nat:

It depends on the some people never grow out of it.

JR:

I don't know. I feel be like, some people still enjoy it or some

Nat:

But I feel As

JR:

now that

JP:

Okay,

Nat:

it is. like when people are committed and they go like above and beyond to really. Give you an immersive experience like, know, it's Halloween.

JP:

so what's your ranking for the parks at Halloween?

JR:

Parks

JP:

thought. Everyone's hanging

JR:

to say.

Nat:

Ashley, what would you say?

Ash:

For Halloween. I, so as an adult, I. think I like Halloween more than I did as a kid. And I think it's because I have the freedom and the flexibility and adult money to do what the fuck I wanna do. And so again, I am all about a theme. And I think most of the theme parks that we would visit during that timeframe, themes vary very well. And so, again, I enjoy merch, I enjoy puns. I enjoy, you know, festivities and theming. And so Halloween for me ranks dang high for those reasons. I could care less about the crowds. It's just nice to look forward to something, you know what I mean? And so, while the park is escapism, I think when you get into a, a big holiday season. Which, you know, Halloween pretty much kicks that off. As far as full immersion, I feel like. So Halloween is probably a strong 99 skeletons. Also, another park has a spookier event, and it's the time of year I get to torture my husband for one

JP:

All right, so the next holiday.

Ash:

You're not even gonna rank it.

JR:

Right.

JP:

Oh, I'm going to give it negative, negative 374. Michael Myers is,

Nat:

tell us why.

Ash:

Michael Myers chases him out of all the rooms.

JP:

I'm so fucking mad

JR:

Is there like a trauma,

JP:

Yes. Yeah, it's every Halloween when we go to for Halloween Horror

JR:

but like as a child, like does it start a childhood or just it, it started in adulthood.

JP:

I don't

Ash:

we talked about this earlier. It started in 2018.

JP:

With the Killer Clowns. was what was there that year. Killer Clowns. And that was Stranger

Ash:

was probably

JR:

Call it stranger. Thing.

Ash:

Well, I thought stranger. Things didn't come

JP:

It might've been like 2019 when Stranger Things hit.

Ash:

I thought that was pandemic stuff.

JP:

Maybe,'cause the H HN 30 was supposed to be in the pandemic era. I don't know. But I thought, no, I thought like there was some strange, there might've been a Stranger Things scare zone because we went through the Killer house. But then when I ran into that

Ash:

lady, oh no, you're right. 2018

JP:

when I hit that lady's vagina on the way out my face that was after pushing the arcade at So, that was a thing. All right. So yeah, not a fan of that. What comes after that,

Ash:

Technically after that, is Thanksgiving, but I don't

JP:

do they do things at the

Nat:

What happens from after that is a transition

JP:

Oh, Christmas.

Nat:

Yes.

JP:

we, how are we ranking? Christmas? What are you gonna, how are you gonna rank Christmas there, Natalie?

Nat:

Christmas would be, would be a strong 10 if it weren't for previously mentioned benefits that we lack. I don't know. I do like the, like, I like the transition. I make it a point, even if it's like really busy in life, even if we go one time just so we can see it decorated. I like, I like the vibe. It, it feels like, I guess the closest you can get to feeling like a kid again, like in a really magical world. I like it. I'll give it a 10, a 9.5. I'll give it a 9.5

JP:

Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. January.

JR:

10 Sandy clause.

JP:

Oh, way to, way to bring it around to ip. Ashley

Ash:

yeah, I like it. I would say

Nat:

Not as much

Ash:

I,

Nat:

I mean, not as much as Halloween.

Ash:

no, no, I think I, I, I personally, do like Christmas better. I don't think we've gotten to do as much as we would like at Disney during Christmas time.

JP:

Was your ranking,

Ash:

A 1 26.

Nat:

Mm-hmm.

JP:

Just a single 26 or

Ash:

126.

JP:

Okay. All right. I like to give it in the history of mankind. every. if we were to keep track of every individual snowflake, I like to give it that.

Nat:

is it a special little

JP:

What's that

JR:

I said he's a special little

JP:

I love? I just love The Grinch mess.

Nat:

never

JP:

The Grinch is spectacular. Interacting with the Grinch has to be the best character. Meet and greet experience I've ever had. The Santa at Disney Springs is phenomenal. The they definitely do What do they call it? The, the umno at Disney Springs for the past couple snow after dark. The, the different sweet treats that pop out. that you can the parks cocoa wear something a little more festive just enjoy yourself.

JR:

you can actually you can't wear this until the summer.

JP:

no, you can't even wear those, you can't wear them in the fall either. at, in middle and then once a year, Ashley and I go to a December meetup, and that is a very pleasant time.

Nat:

you do the It is, but it's already decorated

JP:

Correct. Everything is decorated

JR:

You're so cute. Christmas, Halloween,

Ash:

yeah. The meetup is probably my favorite That we've done during the holidays.

JP:

I That might be the only time when I that I hold her while we drink, while we sip warm butter beer And listen to Celestina Warbeck So do we have a consensus on

Nat:

best, holiday to go.

JP:

the best holiday

Nat:

I think it's has and then you want us to have a vote. Is that what

JP:

Oh, you don't have to vote. What do you overall, what's the best in Natalie's world, what's the best time to go? What's the best holiday

Nat:

Ah,

JP:

for me. didn't see that one

Nat:

weather,

Ash:

Yeah. The last few years we've gone to the meetup and it's been like cold, like not even chilly, but like straight up cold. And that'cause you don't get too many

JP:

What about you? January, you have a number one.

JR:

Halloween can be hot.

Ash:

what?

JR:

more sweating, sweat

Ash:

Ugh.

JR:

at

Ash:

Yeah.

JR:

a beloved holiday.

Nat:

it is. I like

Ash:

Yeah, I'd agree. Christmas is probably, and not because it's Christmas, but just because again, of the, of the theming and the the overall. You know, feeling so to speak. People are just a little bit nicer.

Nat:

The vibe,

Ash:

The vibe abso the atmosphere. Yeah, for'Cause I could do with or without I just, I'm the holiday, the actual holiday itself doesn't speak to me anymore. And it hasn't But I think again, that vibe, that atmosphere in that timeframe makes it overall better. Yeah.

Nat:

Holly

Ash:

The music, the lights, you know, again, people are just a little less shitty Usually

Nat:

if you're lucky, if they're not

Ash:

Right. You get a couple of those.

Nat:

Cruises

JP:

For me it's I don't have to. Did anybody have any

Ash:

Halloween's a Close second though.'cause nothing brings me joy the way your terror

Nat:

I like that. I support it.

Ash:

I wish I could there's just nothing like it. There's just something about seeing a man who is arguably a man, six three

JP:

Arguably it's not up for debate. How are you like

Ash:

what I'm saying. Like it's not even

JP:

could argue, you could challenge his manliness,

Ash:

there are, some humans where you could Challenge their man manliness. my point. was, this is undeniable. You are a, You are a man. You are a caveman. You are, when the apocalypse. comes, I'm going where you are. But not if there are zombies.

Nat:

because then you're just gonna slow her

JP:

I'm not gonna slow her down. Lemme be clear about that. One of us has built a picket guy slowing down. We got,

JR:

just hope we get the slow zombies.

Ash:

Fingers crossed.

JP:

you think there's two different

JR:

Yeah, they, different movies have different speeds.

JP:

They just they need to

Nat:

not lying. She's absolutely right.

JP:

Well, they're on the keto diet, so they move

JR:

There's like superhuman ones. I can't. And there's like really slow

JP:

Cardio, cardio, cardio. That's rule number

JR:

Like, can I please get the haw of the dead type of

JP:

I am. Yeah, I just, Ooh, interesting. All right. On that note. Shall we, shall we wrap it up?

Nat:

Merry Christmas.

JP:

Merry Christmas to you.
